Vintage 1930s Essex Crystal Horse Necklace

vintage c. 1930

Rock crystal cabochon reverse-painted with a bridled horse head on a mother pearl ground, set in sterling silver with a lovely large stirrup-shaped bale and original chunky paperclip chain. Spring ring closure. Very nice proportions to this design!

hallmarked "sterling" on the pendant back and "Sterling, Germany" on the clasp.

chain length 16"
pendant 1 5/8" lg, nearly 1" dia.

Very good condition.
