condition guide
Excellent: really great condition. May have minor signs of wear commensurate with age or light use.
Very good: wearable with some small flaws. Imperfections do not detract from garment's overall presentation.
Good: Noticeable flaws that can be overlooked. Item is still structurally sound and wearable.
The photographs provided are an important aspect of each item's description! Be sure to review them closely.
Please keep in mind that slight imperfections, and evidence of use are the reality/beauty of vintage clothing. unless it is marked "mint" (I have never used this term!) expect that your vintage garment will have been worn, stored, and washed and will present as such.
Antique garments, and those from the early 20th century -even those in excellent condition- are 75-125 years old, and should always be handled and worn with care.
A note about laundering:
All items are inspected for cleanliness + odors. Where appropriate I launder garments with mild all-natural and/or biodegradable cleaners. some pieces may be further treated for staining etc.
There may be some items that I deem too delicate, or too likely to be damaged from a full water-based cleaning, and these items will be spot cleaned/aired/freshened/dry cleaned as is needed/possible. Laundering notes for specific items are included in description.
