Victorian Sterling Silver Cigar Cutter Pendant

antique c. 1860s

Decorative cigar cutter wrought in sterling silver with crisp repousse scrollwork accents. Originally part of a chatelain or watch chain, a small hinged lever can be pulled back to reveal a v-shaped blade meant for trimming the tip of a (smallish) cigar.  Engraved decorative cursive monogram "WHAB". Offered with a modern 18" sterling silver rolo chain with spring ring clasp.

Hallmarked "sterling" 

1 1/2" length,  5/8" wide

very good condition. please note the internal metal pieces are not sterling silver, and have some minor patina/rust.
