possibly the most charming dress I’ve ever offered. in silk crepe with novelty print of shiny yellow and orange orbs set in beds of flecked green and scrolling black. The bodice with shoulder pads, a pleated and draped swag “collar” in the back, and radiating pleats and a bow in the front. the bias cut skirt with added drape in the front and a scooped and gathered back “bustle”.

condition: good. presents beautifully, but on close inspection there are some small holes along the shoulders. One is a bit larger, see image. These do not pose an immediate structural threat (aka the fabric at the shoulders is still sturdy) and are luckily well masked by the shoulder pads, which are done up in matching silk. I also noted a series of small scattered holes in the lower skirt, which are hard to spot due to drape and print, but present. The dress does not have a lot of spare inseam or hem fabric to mine for patches, although there is some extra fabric in the sleeve cuffs and neckline (and shoulder pads). its so impeccably made, and it can be worn as-is, so I didn’t feel right cutting into it,  I’ll leave that choice up to the next owner!
