buttery silk jacquard with clover design, large mother of pearl button accent at neckline, sporty deco–pleated and seamed skirt.
closure: pulls over head and cinches with optional belt (dress has small embroidery thread belt loops).
label: none
condition: fair-good vintage condition. There are numerous scattered small areas where the warp of the fabric has degenerated, leaving little almost-holes. These are largely only visible when the dress is held up to the light. Several larger such almost-holes on the seat of the skirt have been patched using interface and surplus fabric from seam allowances. See final image. This is the main flaw, and I would not characterize the silk as dry or brittle, it seems very sturdy, supple and wearable still. There are a handful of small light brownish marks near the skirt hem I have not attempted to lift. Button and belt buckle are not original, but are vintage/antique mother of pearl. Belt is modern satin ribbon. Priced with condition in mind and sold as is.
