a very patina-ed soft tan cotton canvas with blue sailor collar and sleeve cuffs. simple mid-calf a-line skirt. the top with what appears to be a candle insignia on the left sleeve. my online research did not turn up any exact matches for this particular style and colorway for either the Camp Fire Girls or Girl Scouts but the similarity in style and arm insignia indicate it was likely part of a uniform for one or the other.

closure: top pulls over head. Skirt fastens with hook and eyes and the back.

condition: fair condition as seen. Clean and sturdy but covered with discoloration and markings. For someone who likes patina on their vintage. Top appears to have water marks? A rusty type mark on collar, some yellowing to collar at neck, etc. skirt is covered with marks, splats, etc. both pieces appear to have been executed by a home sewer (perhaps a learning sewer at that). The top is fairly well-finished, the skirt however is rough. See image of inner waist band. I bought this set for myself, for the top, washed them (I didn’t want to soak too long for fear of losing the painted-on insignia on the sleeve), and haven’t worn. I have not attempted spot treatment etc.
