Vintage 1940s Sweetheart Bracelet "FAN"

expandable S-link yellow gold finish band with heart charm, hand-engraved with forget-me-not floral motif and the initials "FAN".

marked on the back "American Queen" " Pitman & Keeler" 

smaller size- the bracelet is 1/2" wide and the charm 3/4" tall

bracelet diameter will expand to fit snuggly on the wearer's wrist. recommended for 6.5" wrist or smaller.

Sweetheart bracelets were originally popularized in the late Victorian era and at first were manufactured mainly for children and teens. They grew in popularity as love-tokens, given by a soldier and his sweetheart, during the First and Second World Wars and they remained popular and widely produced through the 1950s. Often engraved with names or initials (similar to lockets of the same era) the overall style and many of the motifs remained consistent over 60 years and continue to charm a new generation of wearers.
