meaty gold-fill link chain combined with a large T-bar (that hides a tiny pencil!) and capped with an Albert swivel clasp and a large spring ring. a great stacking piece.

multiple hallmarks:  on T-bar " Pat. Apr 7 1885", "W &R" on the swivel clasp, and  "1/20 12kt GF" on the spring ring

total length: 15 1/2"

very good/excellent condition. some components not original to each other, but of the same era.

I’ve seen a few of these antique toggle-like closure necklace, but I particularly like the asymmetry of this one and slightly (just slightly) more “chunky” than other similar necklaces. And the little hidden pencil! What a great party trick; I feel like a Boy Scout - “always prepared” to write at a moment’s notice, lol. The usual excellent quality and loving, careful packaging/shipping that I’ve come to expect from Fieldwork. Love!
