Antique Victorian Silver Leaf-Etched Locket

Lovely hand-etched leaf motifs decorate the front and back of this British silver locket. The front is framed with a beaded and notched edge. Ample interior compartment perfect for storing spells, mantras, Benadryl, etc or there are two thin plastic frame inserts (not original to the locket) that can be used for adding photos. Paired with a 16" vintage silver figaro chain. 

Locket is hallmarked on the back and interior:  lion passant and anchor for Sterling, Birmingham, England. Interior hallmark date for 1882. Exterior maker's marks are harder to read.

locket measures 1 1/4" x 1"

excellent condition. firm clasp. missing original interior frame elements, as described.
