Antique Victorian Gold Filled Locket | Gold + Pearl

antique c. 1880s

Etruscan revival style in a high karat yellow goldfill over brass. Stylized lyre design in relief on the front features filigree "strings" and three seed pearls. two interior compartments retain their original removable brass frames for adding photos. With original inverse-shield shaped decorative bale. chain not included.

hallmarked for the W & S. Blackington Co. of Meriden, CT.

locket is 1 1/4" long, 1 7/8" including bale, and 7/8" wide
