era: late 1800s-early 1900s

larger-sized warm gold-fill heart locket with central rhinestone-set starburst design. inscribed on the back with decorative monogram "MHK". the interior with compartments for stashing photos, lockets of hair, poems, or mantras. with all original removeable "frame" components and original jumpring.

hallmarked for Whightman & Hough Co. of Providence RI

locket is 1 1/4" long, 1 1/8" wide.
