Antique Art Nouveau German Silver Mesh Purse

c. 1900

silvery metal mesh body suspended on a silver clasp etched with scrolling Art Nouveau floral details and a meaty chain link handle. finished along the bottom with metal "sinkers". great weight and feel.

hallmarked on clasp "G. Silver" ( note, German silver is a metal alloy, not sterling silver)

6 1/4"long from top of clasp to bottom of fringe, 6 3/4" wide at base. 
chain has an 8" drop

excellent condition. some patina as seen.
