gorgeous deep blue cotton velveteen with wide pleated ruffle at hem. Interesting stepped designed at the waist, where the light brown cotton lining/ base is exposed. High pleated waist. Single hidden pocket.

Closure: double hook and eye at back waist band.

Condition: excellent for age. structurally sound, velvet tone is rich and even, with a few small disturbances to pile. One of the original hooks has been replaced and doesn’t match. The ruffle layer has a stiff backing that has started to disintergrate, but this isn’t visible when worn and won’t effect the overall structure or shape of the skirt.same for wool hem tape. Please see last photo. brown cotton at waist has some toning/coloration as seen.
