Antique 14kt Gold and Agate Dress Ring | US 6

antique c. 1910s-20s

A rosy montana agate with three ellipsis-esque (...) spots set in a low-profile gold bezel frame with well-worn garland- perhaps orange blossom- design etched on a simple, fluted gold band.  

hallmarked "14" on the band
setting tests as 14 karat gold
band tests as 10 karat gold

US size 6

Very good condition. Setting surface is worn as is clearly visible, someone loved this ring very much! The stone feels stable in the setting, no wiggling, no damage. Based on the construction and difference in karat purity, it's possible the band is a replacement, but it was professionally and sturdily done. A slightly quirky, lovely piece.
