1940s Lace Dress | L/PL
1940s Lace Dress | L/PL
Era: 1940s
Approx. size: large /petite large
shoulders: 15”
bust: 41”
waist: 34”
hip: 42”
bodice length: 16”
skirt length: 25”
Interesting O-pattern lace, with decorative glass buttons down the bodice, lightly padded sleeves, pretty dart and pintuck detailing on bodice, sleeves, and skirt. (belt not included).
material: feels like cotton
closure: hooks and snaps at the side
label: none present
condition: good. freshly washed and ready to wear. small light area of rust where old hook and eye had been (not visible at all when belted). a couple small holes in skirt were invisibly patched using excess hem material, these are not easy to spot. Right underarm had several tears that were patched as well, the patching came out nicely, but I have some concern that overall the lace may be a bit fragile, although not deteriorating by any means. I think this dress is still very wearable, and perfect for an event (small wedding?!) or photoshoot, just not for every day wear and tear. I recommend storing flat to prevent stress to shoulders + neckline area. Priced accordingly, sold AS IS.
