era: 1930s
approx. size: small-small/medium
shoulders: na
bust: 36”
waist: 28” unbelted
hip: approx. 40” max for best fit
length: 30”
Long line blouse with peaked and lightly gathered underbust seam. Long raglan sleeves with wrist snaps. Lovely patinated gold sequins at wide collar and hem. Slits in side seam for half belt. Original belt is gone and is replaced with a custom made modern rayon tie belt. Deco buckle could easily be added if desired!
closure: covered buttons to waist
material: rayon crepe
label: none
condition: Very good. clean, sturdy and ready to wear. top button replaced. Bottom button with frayed fabric and partially exposed metal. Patch on one collar and on the back of the hem where sequins have fallen away (see images). A few scattered pinholes noted, two more “obvious” at the right chest were successfully patched with seam allowance and light fusible. You could do the same for the other holes, if desired, but I think it can be happily worn as-is. Fit note: some of the buttons and loops are a bit tight to open and close. I would recommend sizing down a bit so you can maybe get this on and off without having to undo all the buttons! Or wear with only the top and bottom 2-3 closed and wear the rest open! Just to save yourself the effort and reduce wear and tear on the buttons :) please note: if needed, I recommend spot cleaning this piece only.
