1930s Dark Floral Silk Chiffon Dress | L/XL

vintage 1930s

approx. modern size: large/xlarge ( please note, dress must pull over head with no zipper or snaps)

bust: very free fit created by surplice, low cut style, recommend for 48" or less
waist: up to 40", cinch with belt
belt is 44" long
hips:  52"
bodice length: 17"
total length: 49"

sheer silk with a dreamy floral print on navy blue ground. surplice bodice with wide gathered ruffle collar and flutter sleeves, the skirt with peaked hip seam in front. with matching tie belt. pulls over head. sold without slip/underpinnings.

label/materials: no labels present, 100% silk

condition: good. wearable with care. some scattered pinholes (approx. 6) noted in the bodice, mostly on the right side, and hard to detect bc of the wide top layer of collar fabric, see image. and a couple on right sleeve. some wear to back neckline. a pull to fabric and one 1/4" patched tear near the left hip/bum area. see image. belt was likely shorted at some point. I have not laundered, but wearable as-is.
