1930s / 1940s Color Block Ombre Pink Gown | c. 1939 Bridesmaids Gown | Vintage Wedding Dress

Stunning cusp-of-the-40s color block pink taffeta gown. The ballet pink bodice with shaped and pleated puff sleeves, sweetheart neckline, and extensive shirring across the bust; anchoring a sweeping skirt comprised of heavily gathered tiered panels of ballet, petal, and deep blush pink  in a flamenco wrap-style, terminating with a large hip bow and draped ruffles down the left side. Metal side zip. Likely originally for a bridesmaid, this would make a show-stopping unconventionial wedding dress, or make any special occasion extra (special).

condition: very good / excellent. Stunning presentation when worn, very sturdy, freshly washed. On close inspection there is some slight greyish/beige soiling to the tops of sleeves, back neck and along the folds of the bodice that did not entirely lift with soaking. Similarly, there is some soiling along the hem that did not lift. A full professional dry cleaning or further soaking may address these little issues, but I do not find them distracting or very notable when worn. Please see final images for close ups of shoulders/back neckline and a couple spots near skirt hem. A tiny slit at the back left sleeve (see photos) could be backed with fusible if desired, since the fabric is opaque and already a little structured. (please note: images added for condition purposes aren't always color-correct!).
