natural silk with finely silk-embroidered panels at collar, cuffs, hip pocket, and hem depicting Chinese country scenes included men on bike, feeding birds, playing instruments, pulling rickshaws, as well as pagodas, and many animals and plants, included coy, birds, and deer. Monochrome except for the people’s faces and animal's eyes.

closure: can be worn open or single shell button and loop at low hip

condition: very good. has been hand washed, and presents great. Incredibly sturdy and structurally sound/intact. Cosmetic issues include some scattered toning and darker spots that didn’t lift with soaking- these are visible in close up photos. I have not attempted to spot treat any of these.
