remarkable piece in semi-sheer cream silk crepe with dramatic bishop sleeves and high-low hem. accented across the bodice and at the front hem with large lace panels, and at the front and back waist with delightful blue silk satin bow motifs. fabric covered buttons and loops close just the waist. tiny blue silk shoulder pads. so much hand finishing and thought went into this design!
label: Gertrude Henry Kane, 745 5th Avenue, New York.
very good/excellent condition. freshly laundered, and silk is quite soft and sturdy. one small lace area at top of left shoulder has been reinforced with netting. only visible from the interior, on close inspection. one small hole on the edge of the back bow.
